Tribalism

Tribal became my signature art as many of my friends wanted the tribal nail art with the gradient or sponging background as the base color.

I have done this base color three times already. More pictures on that coming soon. Just keep reading my blog.

For this mani I used purple, turquoise and dark blue polish from Elianto.

I use a black acrylic paint from Chromacrylic to draw the tribal patterns with my detail brush.

And, this mani is simple and very easy to do.

Try 'em out  folks!

Oriental

Made this oriental nails for my university senior who is done with her studies and about to graduate. She said that she will be wearing this beautiful gold Cheongsam. And she wanted something that goes along with her graduation attire.

Red polish and some gold glitter polish would be a nice idea. So I made a simple mani for her with a touch of black flower stickers.

I hope you like this mani.

Red Wings

It's her post birthday manicure pampering session with me. I made this beautiful butterfly mani for her in red, black and white.
At first I was a bit doubtful with this mani but then I eventually felt relieved that I could make it. I was wanting to try this mani out for sometime now.

I was a simple mani to do and I will be definitely doing alot more of this in different colors.

Step to make this mani :
1. Paint base coat to the nail.
2. Paint redas the base color.
3. The use a detail brush and paint the butterfly wing design using black acrylic paint.
4. Make some dots at the end of the wing.
5. Secure it with top coat

Pink Elegance

I made this nail for my Indonesian hostel-mate. She likes something sweet and girly and I feel this mani suits her really well!

I made a dark coral color base with gold strip to the lower part of the nail and some dots to make the nails look extra cute and yet elegant

Step to do this mani :
1. Paint base coat to nail.
2. Paint the dark coral color polish as the base color.
3. Cut short stripes of the gold strips that is the correct width of the nail that will be sticked on.
4. After that use a dotting tool and make tiny dots at the end of the nail, below the strip.
5. Secure the nail mani with top coat

Tribalastic

Yesterday was my friend, Vinota's birthday. She came over to get herself pampered with some mani on her beautiful long nails. She precisely requested turquoise, blue and purple as it's her favorite colors. She also wanted tribal nail art on her nails.

Not many girl that I know likes playing with colors and doing mani which are not their cup of tea. She wanted tribal nail art on her nails to be different. When I say different, I mean all 10 fingers different.

It was a challenge for me - to create different tribal designs on each of her fingers.

And the ideas just kept flowing to the nails as I started drawing.

Step to do this mani :
1. Paint base coat to nail.
2. Choose/Paint a color that is similar to nail color. I chose a soft beige color.
3. Once completely dried, I did sponging to the nails with three different colors. I used a regular sponge or
you can use any type of sponge you like to use. Try using different types of sponge to know which one
    you prefer to use.
4. Once the colors from the sponging have dried, use black acrylic paint to make the designs to make a
tribal. And, use a fine thin brush for this. make dots, triangles and lines  to create tribal design.
5. Once done and dried, apply top coat to secure the design.
